Subtractive Synthesizer

During this past winter, I along with two other Thayer students Graeme Gengras and Tyler Albarran, built a subtractive mixed analog/digital synthesizer as a final project for ENGS 32 (Intro to linear and digital circuits). A short demo of some of the functions we achieved can be seen here. The basic flowchart for our design isContinue reading “Subtractive Synthesizer”

Cantilever Bridge

For my final project in ENGS 33 (Solid Mechanics) in fall ’15, I built a 6″ plywood cantilever bridge along with three other Thayer students, including frequent collaborator Liam Grace-Flood. Numerous iterations of our bridge were modeled in SolidWorks before we began building, and our failure load of just over 400 lbs (!) was predictedContinue reading “Cantilever Bridge”
