Cantilever Bridge
For my final project in ENGS 33 (Solid Mechanics) in fall ’15, I built a 6″ plywood cantilever bridge along with three other Thayer students, including frequent collaborator Liam Grace-Flood. After my attempts with sculpture this past fall, I wanted to work on my fundamentals and improve my grounding with figure drawing. During this class with the amazing Professor Enrico Reilly, I worked on my measuring and value techniques, and also gained an exposure to some new (to me) mediums including ink and charcoal.
